The Guinness Book of World Records has made a trip to Lebanon, this time to confirm that a plexi-glass wine vessel is the largest one in the world.
The huge wine-glass was made by engineers Walid Richa and Moussa Zakharia, and was named the world’s largest, taking the position form Portugal from twelve years ago. Liz Smith, representative for Guinness stated, “The previous record was set in Portugal 12 years ago and I’m proud to announce that Lebanon has achieved a new record,”according to ‘metro.uk.com’.
Over 100 bottles of wine were poured into the huge glass at a wine festival in Beirut’s Hippodrome. The glass measured 94.48 inches high and 65 inches in diameter. source
